Aims and MethodsBone density (BMD) measurement is essential to assess the skeletal impact of primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT). Coexistent osteoporosis is one of the criteria to consider parathyroidectomy in PHPT. PHPT is associated with predominant bone loss at the wrist.
